Tour di Alberobello con Lubus

Discover the authentic heart of the Itria Valley on a journey through historic villages, country lanes, trulli, vineyards and the traditional flavours of Puglia. The tour departs from Locorotondo at 9:00 am and returns at 6:00 pm.

Tour itinerary

The day begins with a stop at the traditional “forno del contadino” country bakery, where you can enjoy a coffee and purchase freshly baked Puglian focaccia. The tour continues with a visit to the small rural Church of San Marco. From here, you will travel towards Alberobello along some of the area's most authentic tratturi — ancient country tracks winding through dry-stone walls, olive groves and picturesque rural landscapes.

Guided tour of Alberobello

On arrival in Alberobello, you will set off on a guided tour lasting approximately two hours. The tour includes:

• Rione Monti;
• Rione Aia Piccola;
• Trullo Sovrano.

This is an opportunity to discover the history, traditions and distinctive architecture of the world-famous trulli, symbols of Puglia and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Winery tour and tasting at Cantina Torricella

After exploring Alberobello, the tour continues to Masseria Cantina Torricella, set amid the beautiful landscape of the Canale di Pirro. The experience includes a guided visit to:

• the vineyard;
• the fermentation area;
• the barrel cellar.

This is followed by the private “Nispoli” tasting, with table service and four wines paired with organic local specialities produced at the Masseria.

Incipit Minutolo – White

• Semolina bread bruschetta with garden tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil;
• Primosale fresh cheese served with Minutolo wine jelly.

Aurora Primitivo Rosé

• Freshly made mozzarella;
• Zucchine alla poverella: sun-dried courgettes dressed with mint and extra virgin olive oil.

Nispoli Cabernet Sauvignon – Red

• Free-range pork salami;
• Fresh Canestrato cheese served with quince preserve.

Monte del Vento Primitivo – Red

• PDO Podolica Caciocavallo cheese served with cherry blossom honey;
• PDO Capocollo di Martina Franca.

Cocolicchio village and return journey

After the tasting, the day continues with a visit to the charming rural hamlet of Cocolicchio, an unspoilt corner of the Puglian countryside. You will then return to Locorotondo, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.
