Details of your tour itinerary:
DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN BARI/BRINDISI towards Valle d’Itria (Locorotondo)
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll collect your car (rental is not included in the price) and depart for your accommodation in the land of trulli in Locorotondo, recognized One of The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, with its picturesque alleys. You’ll stay in a real trullo for the entire duration of your holiday.DAY 2: DISCOVERING THE ANCIENT FARMHOUSES OF PUGLIA (Monopoli and Ostuni)
Breakfast at Agrosilente property and departure to Monopoli, where will take place (from 10am to 3pm) your adventure with the authentic apulian food. You’ll be busy making orecchiette and handmade pasta in the unique setting of Masseria Garrappa, accompanied by locals, who, in addition to explaining and sharing the art of handmade pasta, will tell you about our region and will make you a really special loco lunch! In the afternoon you will drive towards Ostuni (the white city), a picturesque town waiting to be discovered. Renowned for its characteristic historic center, it boasts a wonderful medieval town, full of narrow streets and whitewashed houses. The day includes a guided tour of the historic Masseria Brancati, located in the heart of the centuries-old olive groves of the Marina di Ostuni. Completely immersed in greenery, the fortified farmhouse retains its original features, steeped in ancient history. The tour will focus on the underground olive mill, a tour of the monumental olive grove, and a tasting of the farm’s oil and other products. Return to Locorotondo.DAY 3: THE ADRIATIC COAST AND THE VISIT OF HIS CAVES (Polignano a Mare)
Breakfast at Agrosilente property and departure for Polignano a Mare, that we really suggest exploring. It is one of Puglia’s most renowned towns with its historic center nestled on a stunning cliff. From here, we’ll depart for a boat tour (lasting approximately 3 hours) along the Adriatic coast, visiting the enchanting caves of Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, with a stop for a swim and a traditional Apulian aperitif—an unforgettable experience! Return to Locorotondo.DAY 4: THE TRULLI AND THE VIANEYARDS (Putignano e Alberobello)
Breakfast at Agrosilente property and departure for Putignano where the WINERY TOUR AT “Aiello Enologist for Love”, will be waiting for you!. The tour begins in the fermentation room with a description of the various production phases and continues in the historic part of the winery, founded in 1800 and entirely carved out of typical Apulian stone. The tour includes a tasting of six wines accompanied by a traditional Apulian aperitif. On the way back, you’ll visit Alberobello, also known as the “capital of the trulli” and a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site. With an expert guide, you’ll admire the wonders of this magical village! At sunset, a dinner in the vineyard awaits, here you would savor a traditional Apulian meal, accompanied by a breathtaking setting. Return to LocorotondoDAY 5: THE ANCHANTING CITY (Matera)
Breakfast at Agrosilente property and departure for Matera, which, although not part of Puglia, is worth a visit, as it is one of the oldest cities in the world, with evidence of human settlements dating back to the Paleolithic and continuing to the present day. Matera is also called “the city of stones”, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and named European Capital of Culture in 2019. It’s not to be missed! We suggest a guided tour of the city or a tour in an APE Calessino (additional charge) with a traditional lunch in a local tavern (additional charge).
